I would recommend The Nude Beach palette to those who prefer a subtler, more natural style of makeup rather than those who go for stronger, bolder looks and colors. (By “lighter” I mean the opposite of dark, not lighter as in sheer.) I personally love the selection of colors but I’m sure there will be those who’ll feel the lack of darker shades acutely, especially if you’re used to the Urban Decay Naked and LORAC Pro palettes that offer a range of light/medium/deep shades. Luckily, I’ve always found it’s easy to layer and build up the pigmentation with READY shadows, so I don’t really have any issues with the palette. They’re not terrible - far from it! they’re actually all quite good - but they’re simply not at the same level of richness and opacity as the others. Generally speaking, the shimmery READY shadows are usually more strongly pigmented compared to the paler matte shades, at least in my experience, and I feel like that’s the case here too. Although all of the shadows have lovely, smooth textures I think that the two matte shades (Pure and Natural) as well as the shimmery Nude Beach color could’ve had better color payoff.
